The London Eye offers a 10% discount for those who buy tickets online in advance of their spin on the giant observation wheel along the Thames River. Night owls can enjoy the views of London from the 443-foot tall wheel until 11:30 p.m. during expanded hours on select Friday nights this summer.
The deal: The lowest price for the Eye is a standard ticket sold in half-hour increments for 17.28 pounds ($ 26.73) for adults and 11.07 pounds ($ 17.12) for children 4 to 15. (Children younger than 4 ride free.) A family of four (two adults, two children) saves 20% by booking online for a price of 50.40 pounds ($ 77.95).
The ride inside the oval-shaped capsules lasts 30 minutes and offers views of Parliament, Big Ben and the Thames.
When: Online discount tickets are offered indefinitely. The London Eye is open until 11:30 p.m. every Friday from June 21 to Aug. 9.
Tested: I found availability for June 28 for an 11 p.m. spin during the expanded Friday hours. (Plenty of other times were available too.) Fast Track tickets for priority boarding also are discounted online starting at 26.25 pounds ($ 40.60) for adults and children.
